Get smooth, supple, radiant skin ready for Spring!


Spring's on its way and so now's the time to start thinking about shedding our winter layers and getting fresh and radiant! I've got six top natural beauty tips to get you well on the way to beautiful, clear, radiant skin. If you follow them as I say, you can't go wrong ... 1. Use a facial oil every night. Facial oils are by far the most effective skincare products on the shelf today but there aren't enough of them around! They are nourishing, hydrating and rejuvenating but you've got to make sure you get the right one. The following oils are all high in Omega 6 and so will work wonders for giving your skin that summer glow. Look out for them in a facial oil and you will be on the right track: Rosehip Seed Oil; Thistle Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Hemp Oil, Borage Oil, Walnut oil.

Recommended ready-made facial oils: Neal's Yard Remedies Orange Flower Facial Oil, Decleor Aromessence Neroli Facial Oil, Living Nature Radiance Night Oil.

2. Exfoliate your skin twice a week with a muslin cloth or an organic flannel. Massage a balm into your skin and leave for a few minutes. This will soften dead skin cells. Wet a cloth in warm water and massage balm off face with small circular motions. This will gently but thoroughly remove dead skin cells and anything that may be blocking pores. If you've got dry lips, don't forget to exfoliate them too. Follow with your facial oil for best results.

3. Use a nourishing facial mask once a week to give your skin a boost of everything it needs. Use this after you exfoliate for best results. Follow with your facial oil.

Recommended products: Living Nature Ultra Nourishing Facial Mask, Clarins Thirst Quenching Mask (not totally natural but exceptionally good).

4. Use a clay mask once a week to give your skin a deep cleanse. Use this immediately after you exfoliate to get the best results. Follow with your facial oil.

5. Eat lots and lots of seeds, nuts, avocados, oily fish and/or take an omega supplement such as Cod Liver Oil or Flaxseed Oil.

Recommended supplements: Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil, Solgar Flaxseed Oil, Viridian Beauty Oil.

6. Drink plenty of H2O. Recommendations vary but I would say at least 2 litres every day. Keep a bottle next to you at all times - it makes it much easier. Avoid tap water if possible and look at the labels on the back of bottled water to check there are no nasties floating around!
